Elite Velour

Dekoni Audio

My HD820s finally feel like the premium closed-backs they were meant to be—the Elite Velour's plush depth seals around my ears perfectly without that suffocating clamp. Soundstage feels wider and the bass stays tight, a noticeable step up from the stock leather.

Carter ★★★★★ Sep 2, 2026

These velour pads completely open up the HD820's soundstage compared to the stock leather ones, and the fit around the glass panels is perfect. Installation took me five minutes and the clamping force feels identical to before.

The glass panels on the HD820 finally get to shine with these pads—the velour is plush without killing the closed-back isolation I was worried about. Fit was snug on the first try, and the soundstage feels a touch wider for orchestral stuff.
