In the late 2000’s, Audio Technica changed the game releasing the original ATH-M50. The M50’s served not only the professional studio world, but also crossed over to the consumer mass market taking it by storm.

One of the best budget headphones, the sound is excellent, but the pads leave some room for improvement.

Dekoni Choice Suede is a soft, supple synthetic suede. Its sheen velour look and incredibly gentle feel on the skin is constantly mistaken for real suede.

With incredible durability and unmatched comfort, you may find you like it even more than our Elite Velour models. Dekoni Choice Suede uses the same ultra slow rebound memory foam from the Elite series.

Riley ★★★★★

The suede texture feels noticeably plusher than the stock vinyl, and they slip on snug without any fiddling. My M50s went from clampy to genuinely comfortable for long mixing sessions, and the bass still punches through just as clean.

Ruby W. ★★★★★

These pads completely transformed the fit of my M50's; the suede is way more breathable than the stock leather and my ears finally have enough room to sit comfortably for hours. Installation took about ten minutes with a little patience.

Ella ★★★☆☆

They fit my M50s fine and the suede does feel soft, but the clamp got a bit tighter than the stock pads and the bass seems slightly recessed now. I've worn them for a few weeks and they're okay, just not the upgrade I was hoping for.
